★Gauge: the thickness of the wire the smaller the gauge the thicker the earring shaft is.
16 gauge - 1.2 mm ( very thick)
18 gauge - 1 mm ( thick)
20 gauge - 0.8 mm (standard thick) suggested size for nose
22 gauge - 0.6 mm (standard) suggested size for nose
24 gauge - 0.5 mm ( very thin)

It can last for years if taken care of properly.

To put it in, with a gentle twist motion, just pull gently in opposite directions, so the hoop will keep its shape, as shown in the attached photo.
