There are unlimited possible combinations that you can use to make your own body butter lotions. These are some general instruction ideas, and some of the ingredients I use, but you can change this around to create your own special blends with butters that you like. Because I like my butters and oils I use equal parts oils.
What you'll need:
5 oz. of unrefined shea butter
5 oz. extra virgin coconut oil
5 oz. mango butter
15 oz Oils: sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil, extra virgin coconut oil, shea olein or a combination of any other natural oils.
- 1 oz. Vitamin E
- Fragrance oil of choice
Heat the butter butter until melted in hot water bath in intervals until translucent. Don't over heat because you'll take away vital nutrients. Mix butters on a blender on low incorporating the oils slowly. Once that is done, you can then turn your mixer on high and let it whip. Once completely mixed add fragrance and mix by hand until blended and then mix on high until all blended.
Note: For a whipped concoction place in freezer or fridge for a few hours and then reblend. Gives you an absolutely delectable texture.
